When is the Event?
November 22, 2024 at 6 PM, allow time for parking as on Friday night there may be congestion. The duration of the chopped challenge will be approximately 2 1/2 hours of fun including a dinner and dessert. At the conclusion of the chopped challenge (around 9:30 PM), we will have an informal, optional gathering in the Brewers At 4001 Yancey (or some other location close by).

How much does the event cost and what is included?
The cost is $135 per person ($270 per couple), this price includes the dinner, dessert, chopped challenge, chef coordinators, prizes for winning team members and gratuities for the chef coordinators. The price does not include beverages at the event, beverages can be purchased separately. A sample beverage menu is located below. You can pay me directly using one of the methods indicated below.
Can I bring Snacks, Food or Adult Beverages?
Unfortunately, no outside snacks, food or beverages are permitted to be brought into the venue. Beverages can be purchased directly from the event staff, purchased items will have a 20% gratuity automatically added. A sample beverage menu can be viewed below.
What will the Chopped Challenge evening consist of?
We will randomly split the group into four teams of four people, and each team will compete for two rounds; an appetizer and entree.
Similar to the TV show Chopped, each team will receive a basket of 3 mystery ingredients. Teams will have five (5) minutes to plan their dish and then thirty (30) minutes to execute. Teams will have access to the pantry and spice rack to enhance their dish.
Plates will be judged on taste, use of ingredients and presentation.
In between rounds we will enjoy a plated meal of Frenched Chicken Breast with a Seasonal Vegetable, Roasted Garlic-Herb Fingerling Potatoes paired with a Kale and Arugula Pesto sauce prepared by one of the resident chefs. At the conclusion of the event we will have a Salted Caramel Brownie for dessert.
Results and winners are announced after each round. We will randomly appoint two judges from the teams for each round. One of the Chef Coordinators from Chef Alyssa's Kitchen will on hand to guide the judges
What is the suggested dress?
Shoes: Close-toed shoes are required, avoid wearing high heels, wear shoes that are comfortable to stand in. Clothing: Something comfortable and loose enough to allow for full range of movement, while not loose enough to be a fire hazard. While aprons will be available, it is suggested to wear clothing that you are okay with for food spills.

Chef Alyssa's Kitchen4001-C Yancey Rd #100, Charlotte NC 28217 While there is ample parking, Friday evenings will fill up fast. The building is located on the backside of Brewers at Yancey, building C, just behind the company Line-x.
